Dr. Austin is a practicing chiropractor and athletic trainer. After receiving his athletic training degree from The University of Texas, he went on to receive his doctorate in chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. Immediately after graduation he returned to Austin where he worked as an associate before moving to Belton in 2015 to open Green Jay Performance and Pain Institute.At the end of 2018 Green Jay Performance and Pain Institute has transitioned to Green Jay Sports Medicine and happy that this journey continues in Lampasas, TX.
In addition to running his practice, Dr. Austin is currently the Assistant Athletic Trainer/Chiropractor for the Texas Stars (Affiliate to Dallas Stars) and assists local schools with athletic trainer needs. He has worked for the University of Texas Athletics as both an athletic trainer and chiropractor, interned with an arena football team (Austin Wranglers) and within the past year has taught seminars to organizations such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona State Sports Medicine, Rice Sports Medicine, Texas A&M Baseball, University of Texas Baseball, and as many Texas area high schools and CrossFit gyms as possible.
His overall goal is to keep people healthy and to give them the safest opportunity to be as active as necessary. With his 13 years experience in sports medicine and his desire to stay educated on the most effective treatment methods, he continues to fine tune his trade in ways that best serves his athletes and patients.
